Get to Know Us
Welcome to our journey. I'm Welby Delinois, the creator of this beautiful platform. As the founder of this community, it all started when I saw how even the wider creative and intellectual world was becoming more competitive and all about becoming the next big thing, earning prestige, etc.
Combining that with people feeling unheard and alone, including me in all honesty, I steadily felt inspired to create this site where we can both express our thoughts about various things in life while creating a well-connected community.

Our mission is to create an enviroment where not only are we are free to share our thoughts and stories but to critically think about these stories and give new insights into both ourselves and the world around us. Stories we tell ourselves,each other and the world and stories the world tells us.
Our Visionary Journey
Communal Cultural Insights is an online publication dedicated to exploring the intricacies of culture. We publish analysis of pop culture, film, television, books, and societal issues, alongside personal narratives that connect our audience on a deeper level with rarely discussed perspectives.
Community Guildelines
These specific guidelines are to ensure that this site remains a productive, free, fair, and communal place for thoughtful discussion and engagement for both readers and contributors.
Community Values
Our goal is to have thoughtful, respectful discussions that challenge us without harming others. Everyone who desires to contribute, comment, and/or read from the publication is expected to maintain good conduct in both their writings and their interactions with others. This specifically means-
-No insulting, condescending, backhanded, or vitriolic comments and/or language in your articles or comments. A harsh, blunt critique is fine and encouraged, but it must be constructive, with evidence of nuance and thoughtfulness. If said languages are used, you will get one warning, but if continued, you will be suspended from the site.
-No promotion or suggestions of harmful behavior, methods, attitudes, or methods( the specifics of that will be detailed below) in your writing or justification of said things. Analyzing said things is good and encouraged, but it should not be an avenue (explicit or implicit) to promote them. A warning will be made, and if it happens again will result in a permanent ban.
-No coercive, overly aggressive, and/or unwanted inappropriate comments, or any sort of sexual harassment, threats, etc. Of any kind in the comments. This one will result in an immediate suspension from the platform, especially if it involves unwanted sexual harassment. This will result in permanent suspension from the site.
Community Guidelines
While this site is a place where we should be free to explore creative and cultural ideas from all angles, we must ensure that, for the safety of the community, there are things that can't be tolerated. The promotion, justifying, and glorification of these things, whether in their writing and/or comments, will result in their immediate suspension from the site

Critical, honest, and nuanced analysis of any of the above topics is allowed, but any content that justifies, glorifies, minimizes or encourages these behaviors/ideologies will be, once again, not be tolerated and will result in a permanent ban from the site.
This also means no one can use any critical analysis as an explicit or implicit avenue to promote these topics. This is so that analysis and discussions are able to be safe and constructive for everyone on the site.

Long-term Goals
The long-term goal of the platform is that once we get about $5000 from ad revenues, we plan on paying every contributor equally, getting about $25 per article through a Revenue-Sharing Model. The prices of the pay will steadily increase as the site's revenue increases.
Another long-term goal is to steadily expand into podcasts, journalism, and mass media in the near future.
For now, all contributions will be free and unpaid.

All submissions from writers should be sent to communalculturalinsights@gmail.com.
Everyone is welcome to submit; background and experience not required. The only requirement is to please put your first and last name and the specific section you want your article placed in the top left section of the essay.
You may submit them in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, etc.
